After years in storage, we managed to recover lost tapes and recordings we made in the 90s. We have decided to remaster Tape No. 5 since the original cassette seems to be intact with less degradation then the other tapes.
We used a homemade feedback looper at the time. It was made from an all in one Fisher stereo system. Using the built in EQ to change frequencies and tones, pumped through a distortion and fuzz pedal. We ran tapes through the built in cassette deck. Though the challenge was separating the tape channel from the feedback loop. We used a Tascam 4 channel to achieve that goal.
The sound quality came out better than expected, minus a few hiccups due to the age of the tapes. Preaching Defecation is intentionally fucked up with Dr Scott’s crazy voice. And that’s the way that should be. Listen here
